மழலை - பழைய ஏடுகளிலிருந்து . .

This one is one of my favorite - I particularly wrote this keeping in my mind a kid whom I have been seeing almost daily - growing up from an infant and now to a fully grown adult. This one tries to explain how time flies away - you watch them as an infant and soon you see them grown big. Now the kid is into her Engineering and recently came to know that she got campus placement too. This one was written on 28 April 1997 08.45 a.m.:

'தூக்கிக்கோ மாமா' என்றாய்
வாஞ்சையுடன் தூக்கிக்கொள்கிறேன்
காலம் எவ்வளவோ ஓடி விட்டது
ஆண்டுகள் ஓட ஓட
மழலையும் ஓட ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டது
உன்னை விட்டு
இனி அன்பு என்ற பிணைப்பு
மரியாதையாக மாறி தொலை நிறுத்தும்

மனம் கனக்கிறது
மடியில் ஏந்தி பால் புகட்டியது
இன்னும் நினைவிலிருக்கிறது .........
கண்கள் கண்ணீரை அணிகிறது ............
